Biggest Health Mistakes Women in their 30s Make

A woman’s body goes through numerous transformations in her lifetime. The changes are due to the various life stages that the woman goes through and also due to the various hormonal changes that the woman can experience. However, it is important that women seek the best care, consultation and take the correct steps to ensure that they do not compromise their health. Given below are few of the mistakes that women in their thirties (30’s) often make. Please read them below and ensure that you lead a healthy and balanced life.

  1. You don’t think about exercise

Although aerobic exercise is one of the best things you can do for your cardiovascular health, and some studies show it may reduce your risk of Alzheimer’s and some forms of cancer, women in their 30s should make time for strength training too.

  1. Slow up in metabolism rate

One of the biggest blessings of being young is your body metabolizes food efficiently. However, at some point, as we age, our metabolism naturally slows down. The rate it slows could be based on your diet or genetics, sometimes hormones play a bigger factor, but the fact is it happens. Diets should consist more of fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins, rather than processed food and sweets.

  1. Ignoring fertility

Peak fertility for women is when they are in their 20s. In general, women don’t understand the decline in fertility and they put off childbearing thinking they have plenty of time but peak fertility for women is when they’re in their twenties. To be clear, pregnancy is “absolutely not impossible” in the 30s, and many women will get pregnant; however, women in their 30s to be mindful of fertility.

  1. Continue to Smoke

Smoking may have been the cool thing when you were in your late teens through college years, but it will damage your lungs. The earlier you quit smoking, the more time you give your lungs to recover from the damage of nicotine and tar.

  1. Forget to Love the Skin

Hormones, diet, and stress (from work and/or family) play a large role in how your body reacts to sun and sweat. It is also very important to wear sunscreen as you age because your skin is weaker and cannot protect you from the UV rays.

  1. Not Drinking Water with Medication

Many women begin to experience anemia and the need for multivitamins becomes necessary. It is a very good habit to get into when you are in your 30’s to learn how to take medications. While juice is a great addition to breakfast, it can prohibit medication from working properly or possibly cause side effects.
