Can Hepatitis C be cured

Hepatitis C is a type of viral infection that attacks and harms the liver. It is considered to be one of the dangerous hepatitis virus which may lead to liver transplant also if not treated at the right time or even may lead to death. • Take all medicines exactly how your doctor tells you to
• Never stop any of your medicines your doctor asks you to take. To help you remember to take all of your medicines at the right time, you can use special reminders called “memory aids” eg. Wrist watch, smart phones, app that can be set to remind you when it’s time to take your pills.
• Treatment can cause side effects but most of them are not serious

If you take your medicines exactly the way you are supposed to, the chances of being cured are very good. People who have not been treated for hepatitis C before are cured 90% of the time. People who have failed treatment before or who have cirrhosis have a slightly lower chance of being cured.
