Dengue fever is caused due to infection with dengue virus. It is transmitted from one person to another by ades aegepti mosquito. It is a self-limiting disease and the severity of the infection depends on the strain of the virus you are infected with. Only a few percentage will go in for the life threatening form of illness know as Dengue hemorrhagic fever.Dengue fever generally go away in 3 to 7 days.

Dengue and Chikungunya mosquito mosquitoes of the same species. Both of them are due to the mosquito of Edis. There are several similarities in the symptoms of two diseases. There are different variations. The most important difference is a normal viral fever will not cause death because it does not affect the count of platelets which is an important part of the human body’s immune system.In case of Dengue fever, the virus attacks the immune system by reducing the number of platelets thus weakening the immunity of the person and making him or her vulnerable to other diseases.
