Laughter is the best medicine. Laughter is the natural antidote to many of the illness-causing effects of stress and that too, it is free of cost.We often feel a release or feel rejuvenated after watching a side-splittingly funny movie.
Laughter activates the body’s natural relaxation response. It’s like internal jogging, providing a good massage to all internal organs while also toning abdominal muscles.It is well said that the healthiest response to life is laughter.
People with heart disease are 40 percent less likely to laugh than people without it. In a study of patients with heart disease, those with a pessimistic outlook about their ability to recover were twice as likely as optimists to have died one year later. In patients recovering from heart attacks studies have found that laughter can have healing properties.
