Dr. Anu Daber has joined Paras Hospitals, Gurugram as a Senior Consultant – Rheumatology. Dr. Daber has completed her MBBS from KMC Manipal, MAHE University in 2012 with a gold medal, followed by MD in Internal Medicine from MGM Medical College, Indore. Where she was awarded with the gold medal for best outgoing resident in 2016. Having developed a keen interest in rheumatology during her MD days, she went on to the best medical school in the country i.e. AIIMS, New Delhi to pursue Post-Doctoral fellowship in Rheumatology in 2016. Continuing her passion for Rheumatology, she joined the prestigious JIPMER, Puducherry after securing All India Rank (AIR) – 1 in the DM entrance exam for Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology in 2018., she completed her DM in 2020 following which she joined Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital Udaipur and helped establish the first department of rheumatology and clinical immunology in the whole of southern Rajasthan.Dr. Anu Daber is probably one of the few rheumatologist in North India who has DM, Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology and fellowship training, both, from premier medical institutions of the country. She has also served as senior consultant and in-charge of department of rheumatology at ESI Medical College and hospital Faridabad before joining Paras Hospitals, Gurugram. Dr. Anu has more than 10 years of experience in the field of Rheumatology. She has vast experience in treating Rheumatological and Auto-Immune Conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus (SLE), scleroderma, Gout, Sjogren’s syndrome, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Vasculitis, Osteoarthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Osteoporosis, etc. Not only she is specialise in adult rheumatology but by virtue of her training at JIPMER, she has treated the entire spectrum of juvenile autoimmune diseases such as juvenile arthritis, juvenile lupus, Dermatomyositis etc. She has a special interest in primary immunodeficiency disorders and auto-inflammatory syndromes which she has pursued during her DM training both clinically and in academics. She also has a vast experience of having used various biologics and oral small molecules such as TNF inhibitors, IL-17 inhibitors, rituximab, JAK inhibitors in addition to IVIg. She is an expert in giving intra-articular injections having administered more than 4000 such injections both USG and Non USG guided. Dr. Daber is a life member of prestigious Indian Rheumatology Association, Indian Academy of Physicians and Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.
