New Delhi I Gurgaon I Ranchi, 17th January 2018: Paras Health – leading North Indian healthcare provider and Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), a Public Sector Undertaking in Ranchi have jointly through a PPP initiative, announced a 300 bedded super specialty hospital providing tertiary care services in the city of Ranchi, Jharkhand. The PPP project was duly signed by Dr. Dharminder Nagar Managing Director, Paras Health and Mr. Avijit Ghosh, CMD, Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), on Jan 16, 2018, in Ranchi. This project spread over 10 acres will evolve as a healthcare destination specializing in cancer, neurosurgery, cardiac sciences and orthopedics.
According to Dr. Dharminder Nagar, Managing Director, Paras Health, “This project will directly impact the lives of more than 10 million Indians residing in Ranchi and surrounding areas such as Bokaro, Jamshedpur, Dumri & Rourkela. In fact, with time this project based on collaboration, advancement, and empowerment of the common man with affordable and accessible tertiary care, shall become an asset for the state. Even today, people in the industrial town of Jharkhand need to travel to other cities for medical needs, especially for tertiary medical care such as cancer, bone marrow transplant, kidney transplant, heart ailments, disorders of nerves and brain and bone-related operations. Our aim is to make the best super specialty care available in Jharkhand. We will be introducing the best specialists, medical technology, and infrastructure in Ranchi city.”
Paras Hospitals, Ranchi is being set up under Design – Build – Finance- Operate & Transfer (DBFOT) basis on the public-private partnership by Paras and HEC wherein the land for the hospital is being provided by HEC while Paras will bring its healthcare expertise and manage the day to day operations. The operations and management project has been signed with Paras taking the success of Paras Hospital Patna and Paras Hospital Darbhanga into consideration. Paras Health through its objective of providing affordable, accessible, quality healthcare to the common man has been a trendsetter in bridging the gap. Paras Health at present has 5 operational hospitals in India and two more are soon to be commissioned in the coming financial year. The current footprint includes Gurgaon, New Delhi, Panchkula, Patna, and Darbhanga. The new units are planned in Noida and Panchkula. Paras Hospitals Ranchi will be the first hospital of Paras Health in Jharkhand.
The state-of-the-art multi-super specialty hospital will have cancer, cardiac sciences, neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic and joint, urology and gastro and gastrointestinal surgery as its centres of excellence.
