Patna, 17 December 2017: Paras Health, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Dr. Shankar Narang participated in Patna’s half marathon dubbed as ‘Run for Pride’ today. Paras HMRI Hospital was also the official health partner of the Patna marathon. Dr. Narang, who especially, flew down to Patna to be a part of the run, had earlier participated in the Delhi marathon organized by Airtel. The marathon’s race medical director, Dr. Talat Halim, who is also the Facility Director at Paras HMRI Hospital, Patna said, “The hospital has got medical stations installed at three prominent locations, including Gandhi Maidan, Income Tax roundabout, and Eco Park; more than 100 medical staff, along with doctors, nurses, physiotherapists have been assigned duties at each station.”
The team of medical experts included Dr. Qasif Rahman, Dr. Asif Rahman, Dr. Divya Jyoti and Dr. Abhinav Deep. The team was supervised by Dr. Talat Halim, while other teams were led by Parantap Das Gupta, Head, HR Department, Paras HMRI Hospital. The hospital had provided well equipped and modern ambulances to look after runners. Dr. Halim added, “We had joined the run with an objective to promote the idea of ‘Run for a Healthy Heart’. Not just this, Paras HMRI Hospital shall also establish an ICU setup between 22 and 26 December 2017 during the Sukrana ceremony of the Sikhs at the Tent City being set up in the Bypass area. Paras Hospital had also saved lives of five patients suffering from cardiac attack during the Prakashotsav held last year in Patna.”
